Door Panel Assembly
Modern day automotive door panels incorporate several features and components.
Our lines and facilities assure repeatability, ease of use and quality at the lowest possible takt time.
Our standard
considerations and capabilities:
Assembly Lines
Our turnkey Seat assembly lines cover Electrical, Mechanical and Software requirements. These can have varying levels of manual and automated operation, they are completely customisable to each plant’s requirements & preferences.
Common Features:
• Conveyor or Carousel Systems
• Pallets / Skids or Part Hangers
• Operator Work Stations
• Integrated Assembly Equipment
• Automated Facilities
• Overhead Structures & Rails, Jib Arms
• Lifting & Handling Manipulators
• Testing Stations
• Traceability Equipment
• Control Panels & Systems
Assembly Stations
Bespoke assembly stations to compliment your build processes and requirements. These include pre-assembly, mainline and rework stations.
These standalone working areas can serve be set up as manual only or integrated with intelligent tools & equipment, that provide quality and traceabilty data feedback.
End-Of-Line Testing
To ensure product quality, a simulation test with recorded result data is often required. All typical communication protocols are supported as per application and customer requirements.
Typical Seat Assembly EOL Tests:
• Electrical Testing (On-board Diagnotsics, Electrical Consumers Tests, etc.)
• Force Measurement Test (Headrest Pull Test, Part Fitment, etc.)
• Simulation & Testing / Verification of Safety Systems, e.g. Passenger Occupancy Simulation
• Camera Documentation
• Vision Systems
Our EOL testing stations ensure that only quality-meeting products leave your production facility.
Camera Documentation
Camera documentation stations allow for photographic evidence of built parts, prior to shipment. This documentation is stored on the plant server as proof of quality for parts leaving the plant.
Each facility is customized to the part or assembly being documented and it’s specific documentation requirements.
Punching Facilities
Fully or semi-automated, dedicated facilties or robotic punching systems integrated with part fixtures. Incorporating actuators of various mediums:
• Hydraulic
• Pneumatic, or
• Servo-electric
Vision Systems
Image-based inspection and analysis for product quality validation. Result data can be evaluated and fed back for decision-making and documentation.
Pick-to-Light
Our P2L solutions range from simple standalone systems to fully integrated MES/SFCS solutions. These can either be integrated into current MES implmentations or managed locally.
We offer various operator interfacing options (pushbutton, single beam, multibeam, etc.).
Material Handling
Material handling is a critical element of any production facility. Our solutions are custom-designed to suit each application and its requirement.
Common Handling Mediums:
• Conveyors
• Overhead Carousels
• WIP & Shipping Trolleys or Stillages
• Lifting & Handling Manipulators
• Automated / Manual Storage & Retrieval Systems
• Robotic Handling
• AGV’s
Ultrasonic Welding Stations
Components are welded in a fixed station, using a robot equipped with an ultrasonic welding pack.
On completion of the welding process, the system will:
• Automatically clean the weld using a non-contact welding torch cleaning system
• Mark the part using a pin marking system
• Calibrate the robot using a Tool calibration system
